Life Long Ago Summer Camp

Life Long Ago Camp immerses campers into life in a 19th century black powder factory and workers’ village.  Each day campers explore different activities common during the 1800s, such as gardening, cooking, making toys, dancing, and much more.  Campers also participate in tasks specific to a powder factory like firing off charges of powder, making barrels, and constructing water wheels.  The camp week culminates in a carnival when campers can share what they have learned with their families.

For ages 7-9. Runs from July 14th to the 18th.

Steam Maker Summer Camp

STEAM Maker Camp provides campers with the opportunity to tinker with different technology and equipment. From 3D printers to hand drills, to sewing machines, to more, campers will build their own candy dispenser.  The week will end with a Maker Expo where campers can show off their creations for their families.

This camp is for Age 10-12. It is a week long camp that runs from July 14-18, 2025.

Steam Discovery Summer Camp

During STEAM Discovery Camp, campers investigate scientific and engineering concepts and complete hands-on challenges.  Each camp day will focus on a different topic in science and include subjects in life science, physical science, technology, and engineering.  Finally, there will be a Science Expo at the end of the week where campers can show off their projects and favorite demonstrations for their families.

For campers ages 7 to 9. Summer Camp runs from August 4-8, 2025

Learning the Trades Summer Camp

Before there were makerspaces, early makers were plying their trades.  Learning the Trades Camp offers campers a chance to explore many of the different skills and jobs of the 19th century.  Campers will become powdermen, stone masons, coopers, farmers, teachers, printers, and more.  A fun “jobs fair” at the end of the week will mark the end of the campers’ apprenticeships as they share their new skills with their families.

For Campers ages 10 to 12. Summer camp runs from August 5th to the 9th.
