Join Hagley Historian Lucas Clawson for a walking tour of the DuPont Company powder yards, where he will discuss the company and family’s roles in American Civil War! This tour will include info on the family’s opinions toward slavery, the U.S. Colored Troops, and Delaware’s role as a “border state” in honor of Juneteenth!
Admission is included in your ticket.
Please arrive at the Visitor Center, 201 Hagley Creek Road, Wilmington DE, by 10:45 so we can ensure a prompt start to the tour at 11. The walking tour will be approximately an hour and a half. Please fill up your water bottle, purchase food, or use the restroom before the tour departs.
